About Tripstou

Tripstou is an English-language travel website focused on helping international travelers plan trips across Europe — country-level guides, city guides, itineraries, where-to-stay decisions, and the practical planning details that shape a real trip.

The site launched in December 2024 and currently publishes around 120 articles covering European countries and their main cities. Coverage expands as new destinations and topics are added, with existing guides reviewed periodically when transport rules, entry requirements, costs, or seasonal recommendations change materially.

Tripstou is operated from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, by TRIPSTOU AGENCIA DE VIAGENS LTDA (CNPJ 55.522.828/0001-00), a registered Brazilian travel company active since June 2024.

Who’s Behind Tripstou

Tripstou is founded and operated by Alex Perrut, a Brazilian travel professional working in the tourism industry since 2015.

Since 2015, Alex has worked in inbound tourism in Rio de Janeiro — handling end-to-end logistics for international travelers visiting the city, including accommodation, dining, transportation, and leisure planning. That work involves seeing, in real time and across hundreds of trips, what makes a traveler’s plan succeed or fail: where people overestimate what they can fit into a week, where small logistical decisions ruin or save a trip, and where guidebook advice quietly disagrees with the reality on the ground.

Tripstou applies that operational lens to outbound trip planning. The site does not claim first-hand visits to every destination it covers. What it does bring is a decade of close work with international travelers — understanding how they decide, where they get stuck, and what guidance actually helps before a booking.

What Tripstou Publishes

The site is built around European travel planning and covers:

  • Country travel guides for European destinations
  • City guides for the main cities within each country
  • Itinerary suggestions by trip length and route shape
  • Where to stay — area selection and neighborhood logic
  • Best places to visit and curated destination shortlists
  • Travel cost guides and budget breakdowns
  • Best time to visit and seasonal planning
  • Transportation, airport transfers, and getting-around guidance
  • Safety, packing, and practical travel tips
  • Direct comparison guides between common travel decisions

Tripstou does not publish hotel listings, restaurant rankings, paid placements disguised as editorial, or AI-only content with no human oversight.

Editorial Process

Every article on Tripstou follows the same production process:

  1. Search intent and scope definition — what decision the article needs to resolve, who the reader is, and what the article will deliberately not cover.
  2. Research — using official sources, established travel references, and current travel planning data.
  3. Structured drafting with AI assistance — initial draft generated using AI tools, applied to a fixed editorial template specific to the article type.
  4. Deep human review by Alex Perrut — every article is reviewed and edited before publication. Review covers factual accuracy, claim verification against sources, editorial judgment on recommendations, removal of generic AI phrasing, and alignment with Tripstou’s editorial standards.
  5. SEO and on-page optimization — titles, meta descriptions, internal linking, and structure refined for search visibility.
  6. Periodic factual review — articles are revisited when entry requirements, transport networks, costs, or seasonal recommendations change materially. Each article carries the date of its last factual review in its trust layer.

Travel information changes. Visa rules, transport schedules, opening hours, prices, and entry requirements can shift between publication and the moment a reader books. For high-stakes decisions, readers are encouraged to verify with the official source — and Tripstou links to those sources directly when relevant.

How Tripstou Uses AI

Tripstou is open about using AI as part of its production process. The site is owned and operated by one person, and AI tools make it possible to produce structured, well-researched travel content at a scale a single editor could not match alone.

What AI is used for:

  • Generating initial drafts based on defined scope, intent, and structured templates
  • Organizing research into a consistent article structure
  • Drafting candidate headlines, FAQs, and meta descriptions for editorial selection
  • Consistency checks across the editorial pipeline

What AI is not used for:

  • Final editorial decisions on what is published
  • Inventing data, prices, or sources that have not been verified
  • Replacing the human review step before publication
  • Generating content without an explicit editorial scope and template

Every article is reviewed and edited by Alex Perrut before publication. Articles produced this way carry a trust layer at the top of the page identifying the editorial process and the date of the last factual review.

Editorial Standards & Independence

Tripstou aims to be useful, transparent, and honest about its limits. The site follows a few firm principles:

  • No paid editorial placements. Tripstou does not accept payment in exchange for inclusion in guides, rankings, or recommendations.
  • No commission-driven recommendations. When affiliate links are present, the recommendation is based on editorial judgment about what serves the reader — not on which partner pays the highest commission.
  • No publishing without human review. Every article passes through Alex’s review before going live. There is no exception to this rule.
  • No fabricated experience. Tripstou does not claim first-hand visits to destinations it has not personally covered. The editorial value comes from the operational lens described in “Who’s Behind Tripstou”, not from invented travel narratives.
  • No fake freshness. Articles do not display “updated for 2026” labels unless a real factual update was made. The trust layer carries the actual date of the last factual review.

How Tripstou Makes Money

Tripstou is supported by advertising and affiliate relationships. This is the only way an independent travel publication of this size remains free to read.

  • Display advertising: Tripstou displays ads through Google AdSense.
  • Affiliate links: Tripstou earns a commission when readers click certain links and complete qualifying purchases, bookings, or sign-ups with third-party partners.
  • Affiliate widgets: Some travel-related widgets or recommendation blocks include affiliate tracking.

Affiliate partners referenced on Tripstou may include Amazon, GetYourGuide, Omio, Airalo, Wise, and other travel-related providers.

Using an affiliate link does not increase the reader’s cost. The commission is paid by the third-party partner, not by the reader, and does not influence the editorial recommendation.

For the full disclosure, see the Affiliate Disclosure.

Corrections & Accuracy

Tripstou treats accuracy as a continuous responsibility, not a one-time check at publication. Travel information changes, and readers occasionally spot details that need updating before the next scheduled review.

If you find outdated information, a broken link, a factual error, or anything else that should be reviewed, please contact Tripstou through the Contact page. Include the article URL and a short description of the issue. Correction requests are reviewed and, when valid, applied directly to the article.
