The two websites serve different audiences and search intents. Tripstou.com is editorial and informational, while Tripstou.com.br is local and commercial. When readers are looking for travel planning content about Europe, Tripstou.com is the main destination. When customers are looking for Tripstou’s services in Brazil, the correct website is Tripstou.com.br.

Who’s Behind Tripstou

Tripstou is founded and operated by Alex Perrut, a Brazilian travel professional working in the tourism industry since 2015.

Since 2015, Alex has worked in inbound tourism in Rio de Janeiro, handling end-to-end logistics for international travelers visiting the city: accommodation, dining, transport and leisure planning. That work means seeing, in real time and across hundreds of trips, what makes a traveler’s plan succeed or fail: where people overestimate what they can fit into a week, where small logistical decisions ruin or save a trip, and where guidebook advice quietly disagrees with the reality on the ground.

Tripstou applies that operational lens to outbound trip planning. The site does not claim first-hand visits to every destination it covers. What it does bring is a decade of close work with international travelers: how they decide, where they get stuck, and what guidance actually helps before a booking.

Tripstou is a one-person publication that uses AI tools throughout its production process. This section describes how that process actually works, so that readers can judge the pages for what they are.

Every article goes through the same steps:

  1. Scope. Alex Perrut decides which destinations and topics the site covers, how the articles of a destination link to each other, and what decision each article has to resolve for the reader. No article is created without an explicit scope.
  2. Research. The facts in an article come from official sources: transport operators, airports, museums, tourism offices, government and EU portals. Each article names the official sources it relied on. Prices, journey times, opening hours and entry rules are quoted from those sources or simplified when the evidence is thin; they are never invented.
  3. Drafting with AI assistance. The research, the outline and the text are produced with AI tools working under Tripstou’s editorial rules, which fix what each type of article must answer, how sources are cited and what may not be claimed.
  4. Automated checks. Before an article can be uploaded, scripts check its structure, its internal links, the presence of its sources and disclosure, the absence of invented date markers, and whether it states facts that are tracked centrally (entry rules, withdrawn transport services) exactly as the current record says.
  5. Human approval. Nothing is published automatically. Every article is uploaded as a draft and goes live only when Alex Perrut publishes it. Every change to an already published page is decided by him, and the pages that readers use most are never edited without his explicit review. Samples of published pages are also reviewed independently against the pages that rank for the same search, and the findings, like the corrections readers report, are decided by him.
  6. Factual review. Articles are revisited when a fact they depend on changes: an entry rule, a transport service, a fare. An article’s visible update date moves only when such a factual change is made. Restructuring a page, fixing a link or re-checking a fact that has not changed does not move it.

Travel information changes. Visa rules, transport schedules, opening hours, prices and entry requirements can shift between publication and the moment a reader books. For high-stakes decisions, readers are encouraged to verify with the official source, and Tripstou links to those sources directly in the article.

How Tripstou Uses AI

Tripstou is open about using AI as part of its production process. The site is owned and operated by one person, and AI tools make it possible to research and write structured travel planning content at a scale a single editor could not reach alone. Each article says so, with a link to this page.

What AI is used for:

  • Researching official sources and comparing what the pages that rank for a question cover and miss
  • Drafting and optimising the text of articles within Tripstou’s editorial rules
  • Choosing and, when needed, reworking the structure of a page
  • Consistency checks across the site, such as keeping a changed entry rule identical on every page that mentions it
  • Drafting candidate titles, FAQs and meta descriptions

What AI is not used for:

  • Deciding what the site covers or which article goes live
  • Inventing prices, journey times, opening hours, entry rules or sources
  • Claiming first-hand experience that nobody at Tripstou has
  • Changing a published page without a human decision

Editorial Standards & Independence

Tripstou aims to be useful, transparent and honest about its limits. The site follows a few firm principles:

  • No paid editorial placements. Tripstou does not accept payment in exchange for inclusion in guides, rankings or recommendations.
  • No commission-driven recommendations. When affiliate links are present, the recommendation is based on editorial judgement about what serves the reader, not on which partner pays the highest commission.
  • No automatic publishing. Every article and every change to a published page goes live only on Alex Perrut’s decision. There is no exception to this rule.
